Tencel is made from wood pulp that’s harvested from tree farms that are sustainably managed and traceable. The fibre production itself is more eco-friendly than cotton production due to its closed-loop process. This means that up to 99% of the water and solvents used are recycled and reused. It’s also Oeko-Tex certified to ensure no harmful chemicals are used in the making process. The elastic used at the back of the hairband is made in Austria from organic cotton and natural rubber, it too is biodegradable. The way this piece is cut means that this is a zero-waste accessory to make.
